Availability: Tuesday 8.00am – 12.00pm, Wednesday 8.00am – 12.00pm
Appointments at this facility are primarily booked for clients with an Oncology diagnosis who are undergoing treatment (Chemotherapy / Radiotherapy) and who wish to attend for an initial assessment for an exercise program to complement their oncology treatment or attend for pre-treatment exercises sessions.
COVID-19 UPDATE
Given the recent global outbreak of COVID-19, all review appointments for Exercise Physiology services at Yarra Oncology will be conducted via Telehealth as of the 23rd March 2020. Initial consultations will remain centre based.
Your practitioner will be in contact to provide you with instructions regarding Telehealth for any upcoming review appointments currently scheduled from the 23rd of March 2020 onwards.
COSTS
- Initial Assessment in person (60 mins): $75
- Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Sessions: $62.95, Medicare Rebate $53.80
- Review via Telehealth(45 mins): $45
- Review via Telehealth (30 mins): $30
Notes:
1. Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) rebates are currently not available, however ESSA (Exercise & Sports Science Australia) is currently in consultation with Medicare regarding Exercise Physiology EPC appointments under Telehealth.
2. Private Health Insurance companies are closely monitoring the situation, however no rebates on Exercise Physiology telehealth consultations currently apply.
3. Payment for consultations are to be made at the completion of the consultation.
