An Accredited Exercise Physiologist is a university trained Allied Health Professional, who is the most qualified health professional to prescribe graded exercise therapy and lifestyle interventions for persons at risk of developing, or with existing chronic and complex medical conditions and injuries.
An Exercise Physiologist can assess, design and implement an individually tailored exercise program to treat and address a wide range of conditions including but not limited to:
Under the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Program (also known as the Chronic Disease Management Program, CDM), clients who meet the criteria are eligible for up to five Medicare rebated sessions per calendar year. A rebate of $60.35 is available per session. Please note a referral is required from your GP to access this rebate.
Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Program – is available to clients with chronic or terminal medical conditions that require multidisciplinary care from a GP and two health care providers. Your GP needs to prepare the appropriate paperwork to access this rebate.
A number of private health insurance providers offer rebates for Exercise Physiology services. For the exact rebate amount, contact your health fund.

NDIS
Participants who have NDIS funding under the following categories may be able to access Exercise Physiology appointments at Strong & Stable:
All NDIS appointments are 60 minutes in length and are billed at the NDIS price guide rate.
A service agreement will be created in consultation with the participant and support coordinators prior to or at your first consultation. The service agreement covers the mutual goals, expectations, reports and invoicing.
NDIS participants will undergo quarterly outcome measure testing evaluating that which is relevant to the participants goals, these measures may include assessments of strength, balance, flexibility, mobility, walking, blood pressure, or weight. A progress report will be provided to relevant parties (participant, support co-ordinator, guardian etc) with evaluation of the outcome measures and treatment plans for the next three-months.
